About Another Banger

 It Started With a TikTok that Went Viral (a pho recipe!)

I truly find great joy being busy in the kitchen and trying new things. I love cooking for my family and started capturing my best work. This led to creating recipe videos, and sharing my cooking journey online. I was blending dishes from my Vietnamese roots with flavors I fell in love with while traveling in Italy and continued to make content and fusing the two cuisines into a category I call Vietalian. And at the end of every recipe that turned out well, I'd say the same thing, "Another Banger!"

 Then Came the Cookbook

I developed so many recipes and had been testing out some hand me down camera equipment taking photos of many of those dishes. I quickly decided to put it all into a book.. thats when Another Banger, the cookbook was born. 75+ recipes where Vietnamese heritage meets Italian cuisine. Writing it was one of the best things I've ever done and launching it lit a fire under me I wasn't expecting.

 And Then… a Storefront

I still can't believe the space was available when it popped up! It was a former saddle shop, leather smell, dark carpet, the whole thing, but the second I walked in I had a vision of a highly curated foodie dream shop! It was serendipitous and honestly a bit of a wild card. Deep down I'd always wanted a storefront (first through my former jewelry line Delicora that never came to fruition), but the concept of expanding my cookbook and other creative outlets into a physical experience all pointed here. When the space showed up, I knew it was a now or never moment so I took it! I am forever grateful to my family and support system who helped me make it all happen from reading contracts to painting doors, and drilling shelves. I was two months pregnant at the time, so it was all a little chaotic, but some of the best decisions are! 

 So What Is Another Banger?

Another Banger is a cookbook turned foodie one stop shop in Aptos, California.  A carefully curated mix of everything I love, pantry staples discovered through years of travel and brand collaborations, local goods, hosting must-haves, and of course my handmade jewelry (its back!). Community is also something that I want to cultivate through Another Banger, so we also host events and pop-ups with local vendors. Whether you're a curious foodie or someone who just has great taste, you're going to want to stay for a while.
